Hi all! I recently rediscovered these photos that I took of my daughter last summer and am already feeling nostalgic. Why do they have to grow so fast?
I was inspired for this photo session when my in-laws brought back a beautiful pink masquerade mask from their visit to Italy last year, and I thought it would be fun to buy her a matching gown to wear with it and do a little photo session on the dunes of Nags Head, where we were going for vacation.
Well, the dress ended up arriving at our house the day after we left for the beach, so instead, she and I jumped in the car one beautiful evening upon our return and ventured out into one of the hidden fields in my neighborhood. It was a hot summer night. She only gave me 20 minutes before she lost interest, and we picked up about a half-dozen ticks between the two of us. Despite that, I’m really glad I took the time to capture her at her 5 year-old awesomeness in this slightly too-large dress. I hope she always has that sparkle in her eyes!
Speaking of summer, did you know I only have three sessions left in June and July is half-booked as well? If you’d like to schedule a session, please contact me at your earliest convenience!
Also, I’m not so great about updating my blog, so Like my Facebook page to follow my current work.
